Grilled Pasta Salad

This time of year I know a lot of people will have their grills going with the usual hot dogs, burgers, ribs and so on,so I decided to share a recipe for a side dish you make on the grill along with your favorite meats and surprise your friends and family. The dish is a "grilled" tri-color pasta salad, yes I said grilled its me remember?just follow the easy steps trust me.
Ingredients : 1 box tri-color rotini pasta any brand but I use Barilla
1 bag shredded cheese "your choice"
1 large onion
1 bell pepper
1 red pepper
3 corn on the cobbs with husk still on
Soak the corn in water for at least 30 minutes then place on the grill cause they take longer to cook remember to leave husk on.When they're almost done brush your peppers and half of the onion with olive oil and place on grill. When your vegetables are done start the pasta.Boil 4-6 quarts of water with salt add pasta, stir occasionally should cook within 7-8 minutes. As pasta is cooking chop up your vegetables and take a knife and "peel" the ears of corn off the cobbs.
When the pasta is cooked drain it and place in a bowl mix in all the vegetables and shredded cheese and add a little olive oil then serve as side dish.
Leave me a comment if you try it and let me know what you and your family and friends thought.Until next time stay geeky and hungry my friends!

Respect Her "Geek"

Hello friends I was recently asked to write a post on fanboys connection with fan girls especially now with it being "con season".To sound like a grouchy old fanboy "back in my day there where almost no fan girls, but now a days almost just as many woman are talking, tweeting, blogging or podcasting about comics, video games and scifi movies and TV shows".I'm no expert but here's my attempt to help my fellow fanboys on  connecting and being respectful of our " sisters in fandom".
Thanks to certain TV shows and movies its become cool to be a geek/nerd and I'm sure there's a lot of "fake fanboys" as there are " fake fangirls".So when a female walks into your local comicbook store don't assume she's a fake or just buying something for her boyfriend or brother.Guys for God's sake don't just stare at her either it's rude and creepy.
When online and a woman pops up talking about a comic or video game or movie don't turn into "geek snob" and disrespect her opinion I'm sure there's someone out there that thinks they know more than you so respect her views and don't think you have to talk down to her just cause she's a female. Now if a fangirl responds to your YouTube,Blog post,Tweet or Friends you on Facebook don't automatically think she wants to "get with you" get over yourself player and just enjoy having a conversation with a fellow fan who happens to be a woman, you never know you might end up making a real friend.
Now that it's comicbook convention season and almost every city has one don't disrespect your "sister" fans remember how you may have been treated as a fanboy? just imagine what a lot of woman have to deal with being a "geek girl" so remember when you see a girl dressed as your favorite anime character or comicbook heroine keep your hands to yourself and respect her "Geek".
Until next time stay hungry and geeky my friends

Sweet Tee

Check the spelling I'm not talking about the beverage that's popular here in Chattanooga Sweet Tea but this is about some of my favorite t-shirts.
I know a lot of you have wondered "what's Charles favorite t-shirts?" So here we go!
Being a Green Lantern fan of course this will be the first shirt on the list,it's green with the GL lantern logo in the center people must be tired of seeing me in it by now lol.
Next up is Blue Lantern/Flash it's from the "Blackest Night" story line in Green Lantern comics the Flash for a brief moment was a blue lantern it's the Flash's logo on top of the blue lantern logo.I've had a lot of people asking "what's that symbol?"
Years ago my brother gave me this Voltron shirt for my birthday it has a cool worn look to it like I had it for way longer than I have I'm not a Voltron fan but I love this shirt for one my brother gave it to me and two someone always says "cool shirt" when I wear it.
This last shirt is controversial because I was sure I would get cussed out by my wife when I got it but she laughed and likes it I'm surprised by how many woman tell me they like it,what's that say about them...hhhmm any check it out and you decide would you yell at me if you saw me in this?

Until next time stay hungry and geeky my friends.
